According to TDD-global data statistics,In October 2024, China's titanium dioxide output was 397,900 tons, flat month-on-month and down 0.32% year-on-year;The cumulative output of titanium dioxide from January to October 2024 was 3.9795 million tons, a year-on-year increase of 15.95%, and the output increased by approximately 547,300 tons.
Titanium dioxide output in October was basically the same as that in September. Enterprises undergoing early maintenance resumed production. In October, some enterprises began maintenance, and some enterprises also experienced a decline in output due to environmental protection.
The top three regions in October output were Sichuan, Henan and Shandong, accounting for 19%, 13%, and 12% of the total output respectively;
In October, the output of chlorinated titanium dioxide was 55,500 tons, a year-on-year increase of 1.74% and a month-on-month increase of 1.55%.The cumulative output of chlorinated titanium dioxide from January to October 2024 was 539,900 tons, a year-on-year increase of 7.99%. Some production capacity will be restored and released in November, and chlorination production is expected to increase.
When the market enters November, the shipping pressure of companies is still high, and the market price will fall by another 200 yuan/ton at the beginning of the month. In the off-season of the market in the fourth quarter, demand will continue to be sluggish. Market participants are more bearish on the future, and titanium dioxide prices will weaken. With the early maintenance companies resume production, market supply is expected to increase. It is expected that titanium dioxide output in November may increase significantly compared with October, and output will remain at a high level.
