Despite falling temperatures, tourism in the Three Gorges continues to thrive, with Yangtze River cruises attracting over 1 million visitors this year. Notably, this milestone surpasses a 2025 target by 14 days. Between January and June, cruise passenger volume reached an impressive 56.89 million, with an increasing proportion of inbound tourists contributing to the growth trend.
Temperatures drop daily, but the popularity remains undiminished, and the number of tourists on the Three Gorges waterway continues to grow. As of now, the Three Gorges cruise passenger reception this year has exceeded 1 million, achieving this milestone 14 days earlier compared to 2025. In the first half of this year, the Three Gorges cruise passenger volume reached 568,900, with the proportion of inbound tourists steadily increasing.
