Glass Import and Export Analysis (July 2024)
Glass import and export analysis: According to customs data, glass imports in July 2024 were 14,600 tons, a year-on-year decrease of 17% and a month-on-month decrease of 1%. From January to July 2024, the cumulative import volume was 133,600 tons, a year-on-year increase of 13,900 tons, or 11.62%.
In terms of countries, the top three regions for glass imports in July were: Thailand, 3,800 tons, China Taiwan, 2,900 tons, and Japan, accounting for 32%, 24%, and 23%, respectively.
According to customs data, glass exports in July 2024 were 36,700 tons, a year-on-year decrease of 42% and a month-on-month decrease of 4%. From January to July 2024, the cumulative export volume was 246,500 tons, a year-on-year decrease of 198,900 tons, a range of-44.66%.
In terms of countries, the top three glass exports in July were South Korea with 5,800 tons, United Arab Emirates with 1,900 tons, and Djibouti with 1,900 tons, accounting for 38%, 12%, and 12% respectively.
