Differences between ppr and pvc water pipes
The materials are different. The material of PVC pipe is made of PVC, and PPR is made of copolymerized polypropylene, so the appearance of the two is different. PVC generally presents milky white, while PPR can add other pigments, thus becoming a colorful color pipe.
The wall thickness is different. If the caliber of PVC is 6mm, the wall thickness is generally about 2mm. If the diameter is 8~10mm, the wall thickness is generally 2.5 mm. PPR pipes are divided into 4 branch pipes and 6 branch pipes, with the wall thickness of 2.3 mm and 3.5 mm respectively. If we want to distinguish, we can distinguish it through the marks on the pipes, and under the same pipe diameter, the wall of PPR pipes is slightly thicker.
The cost is different. This is because their material and wall thickness are different, so the production cost and price are also different. In comparison, the price of PPR channel is higher.
The last difference is that the use of PVC is different, because the safety and sanitation of PVC are not as good as PPR pipes. PPR is generally selected as water supply for home decoration, and can also be used for the installation of cold and hot water pipes. PVC pipes are generally used as drainage pipes and can only be used as cold water pipes.
